The Lost City is another innovative project from Nakheel. Recreating an array of lost cities from different parts of the ancient world, Lost City is comprised of villas, town houses and apartments which accurately reconstruct period architecture, complete with old elevations from the different regions it inspiring legendary old lost cities of the ancient world to suit a wide variety of customer tastes and needs. The first class mixed residential and retail development will house two to four bedroom villas, townhouses and apartments. Construction is inspired by the old styles of architectural traditions that date back millennia, from regions such as the Fertile Crescent to places as far as the Orient and Mediterranean Africa.
The two, three and four bedroom villas, townhouses and apartments in The Lost City are constructed and organised over five distinct village areas. The Lost City Hotel Village, The Souq Village, The Gateways Village, The Gardens Village and The Hilltop Village.
Investors can choose between a variety of elevations for their villas and townhouses, from predominant construction styles that were used in ancient Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Palestine which are considered part of the Fertile Crescent, in addition to old themed elevations from Arabian Peninsula and lands as far away as Morocco and Mongolia.
The properties inside The Lost City feature fresh water streams flowing near the homes, as was the case in the ancient days. However, The Lost City also caters to the modern needs and requirements of residents, including schools, kindergartens, swimming pools, themed streets and walkways, cycling and jogging trails and an 18- championship class gold course designed by Greg Norman.
The new development will be located in a 560-hectare area in Jebel Ali, at the intersection of the Military Road and Emirates Road, lying adjacent to Ibn Batutta Shopping Mall and Discovery Gardens.
