Nakheel announces new residential district, Badrah on Dubai Waterfront
Nakheel, a Dubai World company known for its innovative real estate concepts, has unveiled a second residential district, ‘Badrah' on Dubai Waterfront. Located alongside Sheikh Zayed Road, the new development borders Jebel Ali Free Zone and will be close to Dubai's new international airport.
‘Badrah' is the second residential community after Nakheel's hugely successful ‘Veneto' to be launched within Waterfront. It provides an affordable housing option through intelligent design and has 4 zones, each connected by a central boulevard. ‘Diaa' has a high proportion of residential buildings; ‘Talla' has a larger mix of offices; ‘Manara' includes educational and civic amenities; and ‘Bahaa' focuses on retail and leisure elements.

The large amount of recreational spaces, pathways and social infrastructure will provide residents with the opportunity to exercise, interact and make the most of their leisure time."
Offering 45,000 homes, ‘Badrah' will be the first active gateway to Dubai Waterfront. The first phase of sales of the real estate project will commence in Dubai on 25 May 2008 with just over 1,000 apartments and townhouses available. Handover is expected to take place at the end of 2009.
