Court to deal with real estate cases set up in Dubai
A new court, The Property Court, set up to deal with cases pertaining to real estates will start functioning from next Monday onwards, a senior official said.
"Once the court starts functioning it will develop in stages. It will start with all the traditional property cases, which are currently being handled by Dubai Courts," Ahmad bin Hazim, Director-General of Dubai Courts said.
The Property Court to function under new guidelines will be quite different from the existing civil courts in Dubai, Ahmad bin Hazim, Director-General of Dubai Courts. The need for court dealing with realty disputes arose due to the increasing number of construction projects Dubai is witnessing. It will handle all types of real estate cases and is one of six specialist courts being set up following an order earlier this month by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai
