During the meeting Queen Elizabeth said horses from the UAE had contributed to the success of the race meeting. She also praised the progressive ties between the UAE and the UK, according to WAM.
The royal couple were not the only UAE dignitaries to attend the Royal Ascot race; Dubai deputy ruler Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the UAE Minister of Finance Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum were also present at the prestigious horse race.
The UAE public figures also met with other members of the British royal family, WAM said.
