Arabian Ranches interchange on Emirates Road to be ready by next month

The Arabian Ranches interchange along Emirates Road is all set to complete by next month, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority has said. Costing Dh409 million, the interchange is believed to be the largest in the UAE.

Mattar Al Tayer, chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), said: "The project involves widening of Umm Suqueim Road from four to eight lanes in each direction in a sector extending 2.5km. It also involves widening of Al Qudrah Road from two to four lanes in each direction in a sector extending 5km from the interchange of Dubai Bypass Road, and two traffic signals to serve Auto City and Dubai Studio City."

The interchange project, which was expected to be complete by June, will link Dubailand, Dubai Autodrome and the Arabian Ranches real estate developments, and includes 11 bridges that will run for 2.5km and one underpass. Costing Dh409 million, the interchange is believed to be the largest in the UAE and will benefit the real estate sector immensely.
