South Korean firm corners Dh758mn Business Bay Canal extension contract
A South Korean firm Sungwon Company pockets a Dh758 million contract for phase one of the road bridge network in the Business Bay Canal extension project from Road and Transport Authority. Project comprises three phases designed and implemented by the RTA.
Phase one of the project, which is being awarded to South Korea's Sungwon Co for Dh 758m, includes elevation of Sheikh Zayed Road above the canal to ensure easy marine navigation. Other affected roads will also be amended to ensure integrated traffic flow between the two banks of the new canal."
The canal will extend from Sheikh Zayed Road near Emirates airlines building and pass through Jumeirah2.
