Dubai Cares to launch Volunteer Emirates
Dubai Cares, a charitable establishment that aims to provide access to quality primary education in developing countries, will be launch Volunteer Emirates on November 15, 2008 to offer UAE residents the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with students, teachers and parents to beautify school playgrounds throughout the UAE. Part of Dubai Cares' Volunteer Campaign, launched under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Volunteer Emirates kicks off to revamp highly deserving non-profit schools throughout the UAE.
HE Reem Al Hashimy, Chairperson, Board of Directors, Dubai Cares, said, "Volunteer Emirates is Dubai Cares' invitation to members of its own community to reach out and enrich the lives of children and students here at home."
UAE residents are being asked to devote their time, energy, passion and skills to help enrich the lives of students throughout the community by painting classrooms, creating murals, renovating common areas, landscaping and playground construction.
